wow that's weird: we've been discussing this. what'll also be cool is if in the future you can customise devices for yourself just by picking them up.

right now nfc is off if the phone is in locked mode (for security reasons). hmmm...

It doesn't appear to be off, at least not in this video.

but yea, you first conquer the simple problem of locked phones, then you can move to anything once you have adoption and some data.

Max Levchin and Evan Williams are good counterexamples. Both decided to be entrepreneurs first. Ideas followed.

I actually contacted the guy who made Square's videos and it's in the tens of thousands of dollars. My memory is hazy but it wouldn't surprise me if it's around $50k+. The videos more than pay for themselves, however.

hmm, just searched on my android using Google Market and it shows up, a long with a free version. what were your search terms?

I searched for "NFC Task", I guess I had forgotten "launcher".

I searched once again with same term and it doesn't return your app. It returns totally unrelated apps and only one related to NFC.

And now I searched for "NFC Task Launcher", it returns some app called "Tasker". Ha!

However, on the web it always returns your app as first result.
